About us
The Lower Gardens City Improvement District (LGCID) is a registered non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the safety, cleanliness, and liveability of the Lower Gardens precinct. By working in partnership with residents, local businesses, service providers, and government, LGCID ensures that our neighbourhood remains well-managed, welcoming, and sustainable.
Our role is to act as a connector and enabler, ensuring that Lower Gardens continues to thrive as a safe, clean, and vibrant space for all.

What We Focus On
Cleaning & Maintenance
Public cleaning and infrastructure maintenance to keep our district pristine.
Daily street and public area cleaning
Waste management coordination
Graffiti removal services
Public facility maintenance
Public Safety
Security patrols, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response services to ensure community safety.
Dedicated law enforcement liaison
Public security focused on crime hotspots and activities.

Community support programs and social development initiatives for all residents.

Parks & Recreation
Maintaining and improving green spaces, recreational facilities, and community gathering areas.
Care for Jutland Park, Maynard Park, and Tuin Plein.
Regular upgrades and maintenance of local parks.
Community input on recreation facilities.
Reclaiming public spaces for everyday use.

Lower Gardens CID Area
The Lower Gardens CID spans key sectors of our community, bringing together residents and businesses under one district to improve safety, cleanliness, and shared spaces.
